About Jonathan

Born and raised on Long Island and a graduate of West Hempstead High School, Jonathan L. Jacobs, M.D., earned his undergraduate and medical degrees from Yale. He founded and served as Executive Director of the Center for Special Studies, which provided integrated care to people with HIV on Medicaid, addressing medical needs alongside stigma, mental health, substance use, and food insecurity. Currently Professor Emeritus of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine, Dr. Jacobs combines clinical experience with advocacy to expand access to care.
